Anthony Ferro
This teacher may be new to the school, but the chemistry between him and the students is easier to understand than physics. Chemistry and physics teacher Anthony Ferro is new to Kaiser High School, yet he’s previously taught at Pearl City High School for well over 9 years now.

Shayne Castellano
Shayne Castellano, is teaching his first year at Kaiser. “I teach Kaiser’s culinary classes years 1 through 4. Each class covers a different portion of culinary. We start with the foundation of culinary, then preparations, pasty and savory, and we end with Restaurant management.” Castellano is originally from Mililani. He’s been in the culinary industry for the last 12 years, catering, cooking, and even working as a private chef. Castellano has come full circle, taking culinary classes all through high school, working in the school system as a cook in the cafeteria, and finally returning back to his roots at schools.
“Take your time,” says Castellano, reflecting back to his time as a student. “[It] all goes by so fast. Looking back now, I don’t regret anything, but I wish I didn’t rush through school, and instead I took the time to enjoy each and every moment.” Outside of culinary, one of his favorite hobbies is paddling canoe competitively. “I can’t wait to start cooking with my students this year!”

Oliver Constable
Mr. Constable is one of the new faces in Kaiser’s math department, teaching Algebra 1, Math Workshop, and Logic/Reasoning this year. Originally from Boston, he previously worked at a private
school in Brooklyn before moving to Hawaii this summer. Though originally planning to major in economics, he switched to teaching during his upperclassman years in college. He enjoys diving and surfing, something he gets to enjoy more now that he’s in Hawaii. For students, his goal in teaching is to “keep things as important to [your] lives as possible. I just want to teach things [you’ll] actually learn, and teach so that [you can] see how it actually works in [real life].”
