This year, Kaiser High School’s students, teachers, and community members gathered in a parade to celebrate the school’s spirit and excitement for homecoming. The event was held on October 1, 2025, as a part of Kaiser High School’s homecoming week and lasted from Koko Head District Park to Kaiser High School. This year’s parade consisted of a showcase of the homecoming court, the band’s marching performance, and each class’ homecoming board.
This year marks the second year since the homecoming parade was first introduced in 2024. This newly implemented parade is another way for Kaiser to share its joyful essence, give back to the public, and foster a community bond beyond its school.
Each year, the parade is inspired by a unique homecoming theme—this year’s being Y2K25. The theme was showcased throughout the parade with early 2000s music and Y2K-designed homecoming boards. The parade began at the Koko Head District park, led by the homecoming court in their designer vehicles. Following closely behind, the student body subsequently marched in their designated classes. Each class proudly displayed its homecoming boards, which they worked diligently to design and create. The board arrangements ranged from throwback graffiti fonts to retro skateboards. As students and teachers marched in the parade, cheers of excitement filled the streets while they passed out pom-poms to passersby to share the fun. Even beloved teachers from the past year, Gordon Chun and Jamie Psak, joined in on the fun of the parade with their own vehicle.
The community joined the parade, waving their pom-poms around and cheering as they marched along. This event was more than a homecoming celebration; it brought families, alumni, and local residents together in unity to support the spirit of Kaiser High School.
As the parade concluded, students left the event with a strong sense of pride to be a Kaiser Cougar and a renewed connection to their community. Students, teachers, and community members came together in this parade to celebrate not only homecoming but also the endeavours of Kaiser Cougars as the first quarter came to an end. The parade was a way for Kaiser High School to unify the community in celebration, share the Cougar spirit, and repay its supporters.
