Henry J. Kaiser High School kicked off its annual homecoming fair on Aug 21, 2025, transforming the campus into a carnival full of fun games, club-led booths, and talented performances in celebration of the annual homecoming game. Students and staff came together to celebrate the tradition and community spirit.
Every year, homecoming marks Henry J. Kaiser High School’s most anticipated events. Homecoming kicks off with spirit games, dress ups, and finally the homecoming parade along with the Flaming K. Homecoming brings students together, teachers, and communities all in celebration of Cougar spirit and the highly awaited homecoming football game.
The fairgrounds were decorated with pink accessories and students dressed in pink for spirit week to commemorate Mean Girls (2004) iconic line, “On Wednesday’s we wear pink.” Booths lined in front of A and C buildings, each one with buzzing popularity. Many of the clubs and student organizations showed their creativity and hard work through handmade items to small games students could play, generating powerful new connections and an unforgettable moment in Kaiser’s homecoming week. Kaiser Highschool Student Jeff Pitathawatchai says “I think the booths were very crowded. I believe it helped many clubs in Kaiser be more open and comfortable to people. I hope to see further involvement in the future!”

As Jeff Pitathawatchai said, the club also endorsed and helped a lot of clubs out in fundraising, promotion, and inviting involvement. Kaiser Collector’s Club made over approximately two-hundred dollars from selling things from hot wheels to Pokemon cards showing the financial benefit to Kaiser’s clubs. Leonard Cheung, Collector’s Club president, said “It was a terrific time manning a booth selling Hot Wheels and Pokemon cards to other Kaiser students for the Collector’s Club. I talked about cars with plenty of people while others were bonding over pulling rare cards; every time it was fun to see the reactions of our customers.” But the fun didn’t end there.

Many students lined up for the annual and famous teacher dunk tank, one of the fair’s most anticipated attractions. For just one dollar, students took their best shot at hitting the target and successfully dunking their favorite teachers. Kaiser High School student Braja Allin said “The teacher dunking was fun!” Additionally, the Army National Guard also brought a bouncy house and bean bag toss, giving students a fun place to unwind and relax.
As the fair progressed, Kaiser’s talent show began. Music played in the background by talented students who showed and shared their skills and hobbies to the crowd. The performances showed us a glimpse into the enthusiasm and creativity Kaiser students had either from cheering their friends or performing. The talent show was a great reminder of how talented our Kaiser students are and showed how much spirit the Cougars had!
Beyond the fun games, booths, and performances, the students showed and represented the Cougar spirit shown by the tons of people showing up and participating in the homecoming fair. The event allowed students to share their hobbies, interests in new clubs, and find new friends. Along with the students, teachers were able to connect with students by participating in the homecoming fair. Homecoming fair was a great show of school spirit and memorable moments ingrained in Kaiser’s history.
