Kaiser cougars represent Kaiser at OIA Swim Championships! Saturday, January 28, 2023, the Kaiser cougars went to K. Mark Takai Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center, also referred to as VMAC, to compete against other OIA schools. Both the women’s and men’s teams did a great job with women placing 4th as a team and men placed 2nd as a team.

The Kaiser swim team worked incredibly hard to prepare for championships. According to Jonathon Oh, one of the swim team captains, “we went to the weight room and everyday after practice, sometimes we run during practice, and we work hard every swim practice.”

Next, the swimmers will be competing at the HHSAA Swimming and Diving Championships, which will take place at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex. According to Conor Kilpatrick, a Kaiser swimmer, “we plan on mainly bringing relays just because we’re trying to think strategically and place each athlete in the event that we think they will place best in.” The swimmers are extremely excited to compete at states and finish the season strong!
