Xo Kitty follows Katherine Song Covey on her journey through school in Seoul at K.I.S.S academy. The series is a spin off to the movies of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. The movie trilogy followed her sister Lara Jean and how she ended up with letters to each boy. The first season follows how Kitty(Katherine) ends up in Seoul for her boyfriend Dae. But a lot goes down hill from that moment on. Kitty is played by Anna Cathcart who had her debut in Odd Squad a children’s show but is best known for her role in the Descendants franchise as Dizzy, a close friend to the main character.
Kitty finds out Dae is fake dating Yuri (someone she’s never met), but does not know, it was for money at the time. It changes when she has to dorm with Quincy better known as Q(a friend of Dae’s), Minho(another love interest) and Dae. Minho, her “enemy” starts to have feelings for her and admits to her at the end of the season. But through that process we find out that Kitty may like Yuri, who has a girlfriend.But is attracted to Kitty and that Kitty does like Minho but wants to convince herself to stay with Dae and they end up breaking up. Finally she goes to Q for help and doesn’t really help her but supports her in the journey and becomes her biggest supporter within this journey and does try to help, even if there is not much to help with. Q kept finding out that Minho likes Kitty and teases him about it but Minho does not deny it. Then the exam season comes up and they all pass, but not before Kitty gets caught in the dorm ,due to there being a strict policy on no girls allowed. Which means that the entire semester she was there the boys hid her in the dorm. The principal almost tosses her out but changes his mind and lets her come back. Minho ends up confessing his love for her on the plane but she does not say anything back.
By season 2 the love triangle becomes a hexagon. There’s a new love interest named Praveena who Kitty likes, but Kitty still likes Yuri and Minho. Yuri’s girlfriend comes to the school, and is stirring up drama with the new girl Stella. Stella starts rumors about Kitty (not all are a lie) and even reveals during a school trip that Kitty is in love with Yuri. Julianna (Yuri’s girlfriend) is upset because she had suspected something, but there was no reason to not trust Kitty,Q and Dae. Stella is dating Minho and Kitty is trying to unmask who she really is and drama goes down in the group. Kitty finds herself torn between staying(she ends up staying), and also discovers her mother’s Korean side of the family during these events. This and this is something that she really wanted to do to show her culture and find more about her mother. While this is happening Kitty kisses Yuri while she has a girlfriend and is sharing a dorm with them plus tried to expose Stella for being a fraud and found out that her mom was friends with Yuri’s mom. Q gets a boyfriend who started as someone who he hated at first but slowly got feelings for.
Season 3’s first episode is a half flashback to before summer. We get a look that Kitty and Minho admit their love for each other and kiss on the beach before they go their separate ways. Minho’s father offers him a job as a manager for Eunice (another one of Dae’s exes) and he kindly accepts the offer while Kitty goes back to New York to see her sister Lara Jean before going back. Once she returns she finds out that the people have changed, and one of the original guy friends who are Q,Dae,Minho,Marius. is back and is making her life horrible. Kitty wants to do a senior sunrise, but he wants to throw a party and then it’s revealed that Q and him used to hook up before Q got with his current boyfriend. However, there may be unresolved feelings that lead to cheating on his boyfriend. The boys all share the dorm so Q, Jin (his boyfriend) and Marius(the new guy) are all living together for the final year of high school before they part for college. In the end Minho ends up running to Kitty while she boards the subway and he tries to find her. Then they meet before she leaves and admit they love each other and end with a kiss.
