This year’s Earth Fest occurred on April 17th, 2026 at Kaiser High School from 4-8pm. This was the 12th annual Earth Fest as a celebration of Earth Day by Kaiser High School’s Wipeout Crew. The festival invited hundreds of students, families, and community members to join in on the fun. Guests enjoyed a variety of food vendors, small businesses, local non-profit organizations, and live musicians. Children and adults had the opportunity to connect with local groups to learn more about the work being done in their community.
Earth Fest is a yearly event occurring on the Friday before Earth Day. The event first began with Wipeout Crew in 2014 has continued to evolve each year as new students bring fresh ideas. As the years have passed, Earth Fest has grown in size and impact, highlighting a wide array of up-and-coming live artists and local organizations. However, throughout all these changes, Earth Fest’s purpose has remained to bring together Kaiser High School’s community in commemoration of Earth Day and to promote environmental stewardship.
The 2026 Earth Fest offered a variety of fun activities, foods, and shopping for guests to enjoy. This year, visitors had the opportunity to receive free henna tattoos and earn free prizes by completing stamped passports that encouraged people to interact with various booths. In addition to fun activities, there was a wide array of food vendors offering meals, drinks, desserts, and produce. The event was exciting for those of all ages, with something enjoyable for everyone.
This year’s theme was “Our Power, Our Planet” which emphasized the use of renewable energy and conservation. The theme was highlighted throughout Earth Fest with the local non-profit organizations sharing about the importance of sustainability and clean energy especially here in Hawai’i. Along with this, vendors offered interactive tasks for children to participate in such as stamping native plant designed cards to appreciate the significance of endemic plants and learn about the invasive species that outcompete them.

Earth Fest 2026 was a meaningful event that invited the local community to learn about local environmental issues while enjoying local musicians, food vendors, and small businesses. The event was a positive way for the community to come together and celebrate the Earth while also inspiring guests to implement sustainable practices within their lives. This year’s Earth fest was an impactful event full of excitement and education that will continue for years to come.
