The 68th Grammy Awards ceremony was held on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, and there were a lot of surprises, heartfelt moments and more. The awards show showcased many different talents, and reflected a lot of new cultural shifts within our society. There were a lot of surprising wins, such as Wildflower by Billie Eilish winning Song Of The Year, and a lot of shocking losses, like Golden from the K-pop Demon Hunters Soundtrack losing to WILDFLOWER.
There are 4 categories at The Grammy Awards that are the most sought after— Song Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year, and Best New Artist. Each of these categories has a number of submissions, yet only 8 can be accepted as official nominees.
Record Of The Year’s nominees included “DtMF” by Bad Bunny, “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter, “Anxiety” by Doechii, “Wildflower” by Billie Eilish, “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga, and “luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. luther took home the win, a nonsurprise considering many news sites like Variety, Los Angeles Times and Entertainment Weekly predicted the win.
Song Of The Year’s nominees included “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga, “Anxiety” by Doechii, “APT” by ROSE and Bruno Mars, “DtMF” by Bad Bunny, “Golden — From Kpop Demon Hunters” by HUNTR/X, “luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter, and “Wildflower” by Billie Eilish. Wildflower took home the win, despite releasing in 2024. It was only applicable due to it’s rerelease as a single in February 2025.
Album Of The Year’s nominees included DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS by Bad Bunny, SWAG by Justin Bieber, Man’s Best Friend by Sabrina Carpenter, Let God Sort Em Out by Clipse, Pusha T and Malice, MAYHEM by Lady Gaga, GNX by Kendrick Lamar, MUTT by Leon Thomas, and CHROMAKOPIA by Tyler, The Creator. DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS took home the win, another nonsurprise with it’s mass popularity and heavily predicted win.
Best New Artist’s nominees included Olivia Dean, KATSEYE, The Marias, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young. Olivia Dean, best known for her songs ‘So Easy (To Fall in Love)’ and ‘Man I Need’ took home the win, as predicted by most of the internet.
There were a lot of viral performances as well, with Sabrina Carpenter, Addison Rae and KATSEYE making a storm for their performances. Sabrina performed Manchild with a new twist, giving the stage an airport-esque makeover and even using a wireless microphone stylized as an airplane microphone. Addison Rae and KATSEYE went viral for their back-to-back performances during the Best New Artist segment, performing their songs ‘Fame is A Gun’ and ‘Gnarly’.
Other performances included stages from Andrew Watt, Brandy Clark, Bruno Mars, Chad Smith, Clipse, Duff McKagan, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Lucas Nelson, Pharrell Williams, Post Malone, Reba McEntire, ROSE, Slash, and Tyler, The Creator. A special Brand New Artist performance segment included Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Young, sombr, and The Marias.
Trevor Noah hosted the event, with presenters Carole King, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Doechii, Harry Styles, Jeff Goldblum, Karol G, Lainey Wilson, Marcello Hernandez, Nikki Glaser, Q-Tip, Queen Latifah, and Teyana Taylor. It was broadcasted live on Sunday, February 1st, 2026 on the CBS Television Network, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
